¡Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since the last time I posted something in here, but this semester I've been very busy with different projects, I will tell you more about this later. Meanwhile, I want to return with a post I had written a while ago. It's about one of my favorite movies, A Single Man, and the main aspects that make me love it.

¡Hola! Espero que esten muy bien, se que ya pasó mucho tiempo desde la última vez que escribí. Pero este semestre he tenido muchas actividades, que ya les contaré luego. Por el momento, quiero regresar con un post que había preparado hace tiempo pero que no me había decido en publicarlo. Se trata de una de mis películas favoritas de todos los tiempos, A Single Man, y los principales aspecto por los que está en mi lista.

1. Tom Ford
I love him since he was in Gucci and now in new facet as a movie director. His exquisite taste could be seen all the movie. He managed to connect with the audience with his remarkable storytelling skills and the beautiful script. I love watching the interviews of a Single Man because you can tell how passionate he was with this project.
Amo a Tom desde sus inicios en Gucci y ahora en su nueva faceta como director de películas. Su buen gusto es impecable y lo puedes ver através de toda la película. Supo como conectarse con el público gracias a su gran talento para contar historias. Me encanta ver las entrevistas de él cuando habla de la película porque puedes ver que tan apasionado estaba del proyecto.
2. George
The main character of the film. Colin Firth was able to get us to identify with the character and at the same time feel compassion for him and what he was going through. And obviously because of this he received an Oscar Nomination (I still think he should have won for A single Man rather than The king's speech).
El personaje principal de la película. Colin Firth logró hacer que nos identificáramos con el personaje y al mismo tiempo sentir compasión por el y por lo que le estaba ocurriendo. Por esto, Colin recibió una nominación al Óscar (aún creo que debió de haber ganado el Oscar por está película).
3. The friendship of George and Charley
I loved Charley and George's friendship how much they cared for wish other. How they spend the times smoking, talking, and dancing. They were so beautiful together. Sometimes it made me sad to know that Charley truly loved George as more than friend but she knew there was no chance for them to be together.
Me encanta la amistad de George y Charley y cuanto se cuidaban el uno al otro. Como pasaban el tiempo fumando, hablando y bailando. Son hermosos cuando estaban. Era un poco triste ver como es que Charley realmente amaba a George como más que un amigo, pero que no había posibilidad de que estuvieran juntos como ella quería.
4. Kenny
Kenny is one of my favorite characters in the movie, he is young and refreshing and he knew how to make George believe in life once again.
Kenny es uno de mis personajes favoritos de la película es joven y refrescante; y pudo hacer que George volviera a creer en la vida.
5. The love
It's amazing how Tom Ford was capable of adapting a story in a way that many people were able to connect with the feelings that the characters felt. We were compassionate when we saw George recibe the call telling him the bad new. And through out the story we were charmed by the love the two characters had.
Es increíble la forma en la que Tom Ford fue capaz de adaptar una novela de tal forma en la que nosotros fuimos capaces de conectarnos con las emociones de los personajes. Sentimos compasión en el momento en el que George recibió la mala noticia. Y a lo largo de la historia sentimos empatía por el amor que los dos personajes se tenían.
6. Photography
The cinematographer is Eduard Grau. He has become one of my favorite cinematographers, so much I invited him to the Third International Film Congress of my university that I was in charge of, he said he couldn't attend if you were wondering. However he remains one of the most talented cinematographers I've seen. He has such a good tastet that he was capable of making every scene in the movie impeccable.
El cinematografo es Eduard Grau. Él se ha convertido en uno de mis fotógrafos favoritos, tanto que lo invité al Tercer Congreso Internacional de Cine que coordiné en mi universidad; dijo que estaba ocupado pero gracias, por si se lo preguntaban. No obstante, el sigue siendo para mi uno de los cinematógrafos más talentosos en la industria. Su buen gusto logró que cada escena de la película fuera impecable.
8. Wardrobe and Makeup Design.
I loved loved loved the wardrobe and makeup design, it was flawless in my opinion. It was one of the little things that makes you realize that you are watching a Tom Ford film. Everyone was dressed perfectly and the wardrobe and make up of Charley was to die for.
No puedo expresar cuanto amé el diseño de vestuario y maquillaje. Es una de las cosas principales por la cual te puedes dar cuenta que estas viendo una película de Tom Ford. Todos visten perfectamente y el vestuario y maquillaje de Charley era para morirse.
